My patience yesterday was zero, actually more like -5 really. Seriously, waiting to tell me after we had been waiting 30 minutes for my appointment that my Dr is running 45 min late. And that there are 3 people in front of me, when I need to be leaving for work by the time I MIGHT be seen? Yeah, not cool. Needless anxiety over the stupid scale about how much my weight has gone up (yeah, I know. Im pregnant, Im supposed to gain wait...blahblahblah....After so many years of caring about my weight, its sooo hard to just not care all of a sudden. Although it is easier to get over the higher number) definitely not cool. Dealing with incompetent Dr's office receptionists, trying unsuccessfully to reschedule my appointment and not understanding why someone who works nights might not be able to make an appointment at noon, UN.FREAKING.BELIEVABLE! Especially since its the same one that screwed up my appointments before. Good thing I didn't have my appointment after all that. My blood pressure was through the roof im sure!
So, after rescheduling it with the OB receptionists whom I LOVE and having them totally understand what I tell them about my schedule....F and I went off and grabbed something to eat before I went to work. And as a special treat for myself on my way in to work, I drove through McDonald's and got myself a Shamrock shake. And it made everything (almost) all better. Seriously! I love them anyway, since I love mint flavored things.
Who would have thought that a Shamrock Shake from McD's could make my day the way it did.
Can I get a Shamrock Shake Dispenser? That would be AWESOME! It would be a pregnant woman's dream (or at least THIS pregnant woman's dream at the moment). So, for a little while (while the shake lasted) all was right in the world. Now if only they made it calorie free so I could have one all the time and not worry about that damn scale....
