Boy! That's right...its a BOY!
These were the fortune cookies I had made. Carrying on a family tradition that my mom started when she was pregnant with me. She made (before the days of internet and mail order custom cookies) fortune cookies to announce her pregnancy with me. My brother remembered it 25+ years later and that was how he wanted to announce he and my sister in law were expecting. So, since I didn't carry it on for announcing to everyone, I decided it would be the perfect way to announce the sex!
So got all the family together for dinner to break the news. A lot of them were super surprised (my mom and grandma thought FOR SURE Bean was a girl). Definitely not. While Bean was very uncooperative and stubborn during the ultrasound (DEFINITELY mine and F's child), he had no problem when it came to showing the goods! However, he did make us wait over an hour and a half while they were trying to get a good picture of him.Not to mention how uncomfortable it was for me to have had to drink 40oz of water and hold it for 2.5 hrs...then to lay on my side in a VERY uncomfortable way so they could get a good picture of his heart. Thanks kid! But it was totally worth it to see him moving around...and actually trying to punch the ultrasound tech (this kid is already scrappy and is only 20 weeks old at this point..kinda sorta). Needless to say, he has been practicing his punches on me all morning (definitely not going to complain about it).
This is Bean at the ultrasound. That's his face on the right...and him trying to punch the Ultrasound Tech
