Future Penguins Fan is on His Way....: A Quarter of a Year already...

We have officially hit the 3 month mark! Frankie is like a completely different baby, I am back to work from maternity leave, and we could not be happier (about him growing, not being back to work). We don't have any 3 month stats, as there are no 3 month Dr appointments. Frankie does get a few shots this month, but we aren't sure if he gets weighed or not, so we will save those for a little later. However, if I had to guess, I would say he is around 13lbs and easily grew an inch or more from last month (none of his 0-3 month clothes fit anymore it seems, and its mostly because of length). Now onto the fun stuff.

We knew our son would have a personality, but we never thought he would have as MUCH of a personality as he does already. He is VERY vocal about what he likes, what he dislikes, and what he thinks is absolutely hilarious...His laugh is definitely contagious! What can we say he's a very expressive baby. He talks a lot as well. Not even just with us, but to himself as well. Many nights I don't wake up to a fussy baby, I wake up to a chatterbox that is talking to himself in the dark at about 5am waiting for mom to wake up to feed him.

Frankie is sleeping like a champ! He will fall asleep on his own now. We can just put him in his bed when he is drowsy (as long as the noise machine/projector is on) and will fall asleep in a few minutes. He is sleeping easily 8 hours or more for the first stretch of the night and another 4-5 after that. Yeah, you can be jealous on that front! And when he wakes up he's a VERY happy baby. All smiles and laughs while mom is half asleep trying to figure out the stupid snaps on his sleeper.

He's also got a ton more energy it seems. He is constantly moving and kicking and grabbing things. He has pretty good head control now, almost to the point where he can keep it up for very long stretches. He's almost ready for that jumperoo...good thing too since he likes to jump and stand already! He does pretty well sitting up in his bumbo seat, so as soon as he gets the head control thing down, jumperoo here we come! He's not a huge fan of Tummy Time. He would rather hold himself up while laying on our chests, or when we sit him up.

He still loves his bath, but there is something he loves a little more than that now....SWIMMING! He went for his first swim in the kiddie pool and could not have had more fun. He could have stayed and floated for hours in there. Looks like he got the swimming gene from mom!

Overall, its been a great month.I am getting ready to head back to work, and he's going to be staying home with dad while I am work or sleeping, which will be great for all of us. Gives him some time to hang out with dad one on one. I am sure next month's update will be even more exciting....until then, enjoy the pictures!
